(Until I do, here's a discussion starter: Despite my feelings of disconnect with the rest of humanity, I tend to be a popular counselor figure with my peers. Try to figure out why!)

you just happen to be very good at crisis management andrew, simple as that, and you also tend to give out good advice, or at least reasonable and sensible advice. So that's why we, your peers, use you as our counselor from time to time (of course collectively I must imagine that your counseling load is rather heavy).

Simple, it's your apparent level-headedness and logical abilities. I too usually find myself as a resource for people, except I'm usually asked about politics, legal or policy related issues.

Oddly enough, I am still sometimes asked for relationship advice. Why, I have no clue.
